Hear Every Word. Feel Every Note.
Church sound and livestreaming, home theaters, commercial AV and car audio — designed, installed and supported by the same family-run Danville, VA shop since 1978. Free on-site estimates across Southside Virginia and the NC line. Call (434) 792-6717.
From a basement theater to a full church sanctuary, we design, install and stand behind audio and video systems that work every time — and are simple enough for anyone to run.
Dedicated theaters and media rooms designed around your space: Dolby Atmos surround, 4K projection or a big-screen TV, acoustic treatment and lighting control.
Sound, video and livestreaming for sanctuaries of every size — clear speech in every pew, a stream members can watch from home, and controls a volunteer can run.
Restaurants, bars, offices, shops and venues: background music, TVs, conference rooms and digital signage, installed around your business hours.
Projectors, screens, large TVs and LED video walls — sized for the room and set up for the light you actually have. Clean, secure TV mounting with hidden wires.
One app or remote for your TV, music and lighting. Simple one-touch scenes and voice control, set up so everyone in the house can use them.
Speaker systems paired with acoustic treatment, so speech stays clear and music sounds full — in a living room, a fellowship hall or a sanctuary.
Car audio is where Sounds Unlimited started in 1978, and it is still a big part of what we do: speakers and subwoofers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote starts and custom builds — installed in our own bays on Old Riverside Drive.
We plan the whole system — head unit, speakers, amps, subs and tuning — so the parts work together and fit your vehicle cleanly.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and touchscreen receivers from Alpine, Kenwood, Sony and more — with your steering wheel controls kept working.
Component and coaxial speakers and subwoofers — from a clean factory-replacement upgrade to serious bass.
Amplifiers and digital signal processors (DSPs), installed and tuned so the system sounds balanced from the driver’s seat.
Warm the car up before you walk outside. One-way and two-way remotes and smartphone control. Remote start installation & pricing
Keep your factory screen and still get better sound — amps, DSPs and speakers that work with the system you already have.
Backup cameras wired to a new head unit or, on many vehicles, to your factory screen.
Marine-rated receivers, speakers, amps and tower speakers built to handle sun, spray and humidity.
Buzzing, popping or dead speakers? We track down and fix car audio problems — including systems another shop installed.
Ready to upgrade your ride?
We’ve installed sound, video and livestream systems for more than 90 churches across Southside Virginia and the NC line. Our goal is simple: the technology supports worship and never competes with it.
Speakers placed and tuned for your room, so the sermon is clear from the front pew to the back balcony.
Cameras, streaming and recording so homebound and traveling members can still worship with you. What church livestreaming costs
Simple, labeled controls and hands-on training, so a volunteer can run Sunday morning with confidence.
Start with what you need now and add cameras, screens or rooms later without starting over.

Sounds Unlimited started in 1978 as a car audio shop — one bay, a toolbox, and a simple rule: do the work like your name is on it. The gear has changed in 48 years. The rule hasn't.
Anyone can mount a speaker. Making it sound right — in a car, a living room or a sanctuary — takes experience, precision and real care about the result.
Cassettes gave way to CDs, tube TVs to flat screens, and discs to streaming. We adopted what proved reliable and skipped the fads.
When a congregation gathers, the technology should disappear — supporting the moment, never distracting from it. We hold every job to that standard, sanctuary or living room.
Dolby Atmos home theaters. Church livestreams that reach members at home. Automatic room correction. App- and voice-controlled whole-home audio. New tools, same promise.
Still family-run. Still local.
Still answering the phone when you call.
Technology changes. Standards don't.
Est. 1978
Since founding Sounds Unlimited in 1978, Bucky has personally overseen thousands of installations across homes, churches, vehicles and businesses. His hands-on approach and insistence on doing the job right have defined the company’s reputation for nearly five decades.
We're not the biggest company in the industry — and that's by design.
Every project gets our full attention, and you deal directly with the people doing the work — people who have been at this for decades.
When you work with us, you're getting a team that takes personal pride in the outcome. We stand behind our work because we're still here, still local, and still answering the phone when you call.
Founded in 1978. Family-run across generations. Reputation built over decades, not trends.
Every cable dressed. Every speaker calibrated. Every system documented and labeled.
We're part of your community. Still here. Still answering the phone. That's real accountability.
Buy your gear from us and our workmanship is covered for life. If it rattles, buzzes or comes loose because of our work, we fix it free.

Founded by Bucky Buckner in 1978 and still family-run. Your call gets answered by people whose name is on the work.
A proven process refined over decades. No surprises, no shortcuts.
We listen first: your space, how you’ll use it and what you want to spend. Estimates are free, and there’s no pressure.
We put together a detailed proposal with the equipment, room layout and wiring plan, so you know exactly what you’re getting — and what it costs — before we begin.
Our installers handle every detail, from pre-wiring to final calibration: clean work, hidden cables and a system that works the day we hand it over.
We don’t disappear after installation. You get hands-on training, written documentation and a local shop that picks up the phone when you call.
Financing through Synchrony is available on church, home theater, commercial AV and car audio projects of $500 and up, so you can spread the cost into monthly payments.
